McCormick Place · Convention Transport

McCormick Place
Convention Transport.

Sprinter and shuttle-van charters for exhibitors and corporate teams working McCormick Place at 2301 South King Drive — the largest convention center in North America. Hotel-to-hall runs for booth staff, early load-in mornings, a schedule built around show hours, and a single invoice at the end. One local operator handles the whole week so your team works the floor instead of the logistics.

Your team, on the floor and on time.

Chicago Executive Charters moves exhibitor teams and booth staff between their downtown hotel block and the halls at McCormick Place. We set a schedule around load-in, show hours and tear-down, then run it — so nobody is chasing a rideshare at 6 a.m. or standing on Cermak Road after the floor closes.

McCormick Place is a campus, not a single door. The North, South and West buildings and Lakeside Center spread across the Near South Side lakefront, and a convention week means early mornings, long days and gear to carry. A dedicated coach with a chauffeur who knows the entrances keeps a team together and keeps the schedule tight.

What we cover

The full convention week

From the first load-in morning to the last box out the door, we cover the runs a trade show actually needs.

Hotel-to-hall shuttles

Recurring runs between your downtown hotel block and the McCormick Place buildings, timed to when your booth staff need to be on the floor.

Load-in & tear-down

Early morning set-up and late tear-down runs. When the show opens or closes, a coach is already at the door for the crew.

Booth & staff transport

Move your on-site team as a group, with room for cases, samples and displays that do not belong in a rideshare trunk.

Airport runs for the team

Group pickups from O'Hare and Midway at the start of the show and drops at the end, so travel days are one coordinated ride, not a scramble.

Client & VIP transport

Bring clients, partners and executives from their hotel to your booth or an off-site dinner in a clean, professional coach.

Wintrust Arena events

Wintrust Arena sits on the same campus. Games, concerts and corporate functions there get the same group transport.

Chicago Executive Charters is an independent livery operator. We drive teams to McCormick Place and Wintrust Arena as destinations. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the convention center, the arena, show management or any exhibitor.

How convention transport works

Planned once, run all week.

A multi-day show has a rhythm. We build the transport around it once, then run it so your team can stop thinking about how it gets to the floor.

Start with a call or a quote request. Tell us the show dates, the hotel block, the buildings your booth is in, the head count, and the hours your staff need to be on site. We map the runs — a morning shuttle to open, mid-day trips if you need them, and an evening return — and confirm the right vehicle. A shuttle van for a small team, a full Sprinter for up to 12 to 14, or multiple coaches on the same schedule for a big exhibitor.

Once the plan is set, you get a single point of contact at dispatch who owns the account for the week. Each day your assigned chauffeur is at the hotel door on time, drives in on the approach that fits the building and the traffic, and drops at the right entrance. Load-in mornings, show days and tear-down all run on the schedule you set, and our 24/7 dispatch is one call away if a session runs long or the floor plan shifts. At the end, the whole week bills to one corporate account with clean documentation.

The lakefront campus, mapped out

McCormick Place runs along the Near South Side lakefront. The right approach depends on the building and the hour, and a local driver knows the difference.

The campus spreads across four connected halls — the West Building on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, the South and North Buildings, and Lakeside Center out on the water. From downtown hotels in the Loop and along Michigan Avenue, Lake Shore Drive and King Drive feed straight into the complex. From the expressways, I-55, the Stevenson, and I-90/94, the Dan Ryan, put a coach onto Cermak Road and King Drive in minutes.

Which entrance matters. A team working the West Building does not want to be dropped at Lakeside Center, and on a busy show morning the difference is a long indoor walk with cases in hand. We confirm the building and the hall before the trip so every drop lands at the right door.

The hotels closest to the halls fill first, and plenty of teams stay in the Loop, the South Loop or near the Magnificent Mile instead. A recurring shuttle bridges that gap. Your staff step out of the hotel, into a warm coach, and out at the building — no transit transfers, no rideshare surge on the last morning when everyone is leaving at once.

For teams flying in, O'Hare and Midway are both a coordinated group run at the start and end of the show. And because Wintrust Arena and the connected hotels share the campus, an evening event or a client dinner slots into the same day's plan without a second operator.

One account, one invoice

Built for the people who book the travel.

Convention travel is a budget line, and the person arranging it does not want a pile of receipts from a dozen separate rides. We make the paperwork as simple as the transport.

Every run for the week rolls into a single corporate account. You get a flat quote up front, one point of contact who knows the whole schedule, and clean documentation at the end for expenses and reconciliation. Recurring exhibitors and companies that work several Chicago shows a year can keep a standing account so the next booking is a phone call, not a fresh setup.
