Getting around Melrose Park
The roads, the rails, the runways.
Melrose Park lives on a few big arteries, and that shapes every charter we plan out of the village.
The roads. North Avenue (IL-64) runs the village east-west and carries Winston Plaza, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital and most of the retail. Mannheim Road (US-12/45) and 1st Avenue are the north-south spines, with 25th Avenue and Lake Street filling in the grid. From any of them you're minutes to I-290 (Eisenhower) and I-294 (Tri-State), and a quick run to I-90 (Kennedy).
The rails. The Melrose Park Metra station on the Union Pacific West line connects to Ogilvie downtown. Fine for a solo commute — but for a group with luggage, an early flight, or a night that runs late, a door-to-door coach beats juggling the schedule and the freight delays.
The runways. O'Hare (ORD) sits right at the village's northern doorstep, roughly 10 minutes up Mannheim. Midway (MDW) is a straight run down I-294 and I-55. Both are core to what we do, with live flight tracking and built-in buffers for the corridor traffic.
